Once KJOS has been downloaded, install Rufus to create a bootable drive.
Choose the downloaded ISO and the USB drive where you'd like to install it. Finally, click START (see below).
This drive will be used to install KJOS on your SSD.
📌 If you can't connect your PC via Ethernet, you absolutely must install your wireless network drivers on another USB drive before continuing.
Once the bootable drive has been created, reboot the computer and, at boot time, press the 'Delete' drive repeatedly to enter the BIOS.
Among other things, the BIOS lets us choose where we want to boot the computer, in our case on the drive containing KJOS..
To do this, we need to find the 'Boot Menu', as motherboard brands are very different, you'll need to find out where this menu is located in the BIOS.
In this menu, choose the USB drive previously selected in Rufus and confirm. You will then need to exit the BIOS by saving, the computer will restart on the drive to display the following menu.
Just click on next, then choose the Disk where to install KJOS.
📌 If you have documents or items on this disk that you wish to keep, they will be overwritten and the action is irreversible! Make sure you back up your documents first!
📌 I will not be responsible for the loss of your data.
Click next and let KJOS install itself on the disk.
The computer will reboot many times and may freeze for a few seconds, don't worry, everything is normal.
Once installation is complete, a local account creation page will appear.
